End of July, I was on leave for 2 days straight so I will be able to help Malin prepare for her solemnization. Penat ok! Melayan makcik2 with all the superstitious and all. Nonsense la!! So penat layan them. *Deep Breath*
Ok. Putting that aside, everything went well, Alhamdulillah. To have such a big family is good. It seems very festive! Hehe! One by one they came and brought a gift to either give the man’s side or for Malin herself. I had to do a lot of arranging. But thank God, there were a lot of helping hands. Jaja, Liyana, Mira……
The day before the wedding, more people came to see the bride to be. Malin was pretty calm for a bride. Haha! And so, her hantaran came and all, beautifully decorated in purple and gold, as her room. We were all put to work, mostly cleaning up the house, decided the right curtains for the occasion. The makcik2s, were stationed in the kitchen, cooking and all.
2 nights straight I wasn’t able to sleep properly. Every possible wrong things that could happen ran through my head. And by the time I dozed off, I was awakened by Mon, asking to wake up. Ish! Never mind that. Hehe!
The day arrived and almost my whole family was there. Of cos, there were those who just think that they were too much of a ‘high-and-above’ person, didn’t bother to come or even text any one of us. Won’t mentioned names, but they know who they are. But I didn’t really care at that point of time. Because this is my sister’s solemnization and we do not need any ‘high-and-mighty’ people to sebok2 ask this and ask that…..
By 8pm, we were on the way to Masjid Istighfar at Pasir Ris. I took a ride with Erwin, my gemok brother. He was the saksi and wali to my sister, and insya’allah, to me and Mira as well. =) Oh well, we reached and Malin went up. Kak Jaja was with her the whole time, the ‘Mak Andam’. Haha…I’m glad it wasn’t me. It’s my sister big day. I do not want any attention at all. When I say attention, I mean, makcik2s pin pointing and saying, ‘oh ni kakak amalina yg belom kawin eh’ Heh! So I left the job to Kak Jaja, who is already happily married, BTW. So yeah, I had my free time to roam about and mingle with everyone.
The moment everyone was waiting for, the groom. Fahmy, dressed in traditional Arabian robe, came into the room and was seated in front of Malin, his back facing her. I wanted to burst out with laughter as I have never seen Fahmy in anything else besides Tee and Jeans. So its really weird la!! Hahaha…But things got serious as the solemnization got nearer.
After Fahmy and Malin’s party exchanged words, the solemnization begun. With lafaz of only 2 times, Fahmy and Malin is officially married. Hehe! My small sister is such a grown up. And I swear, this is the first time I see her not fidgeting or making funny faces to everyone. Haha!!
Then it was makan2 time. There were Briyani, ayam merah and all. Typical Food for Majlis like this la. I have to serve Erwin as he is too damn gemok to go and take it himself. Oh Well, laziness truly run in our blood!! Haha!!
Then it was home sweet home. But while everyone went home, me and Erwin decided to ‘run away’ for a while and talk. All in all, I am glad that he came and be a part of this whole ceremony. I am glad thar after all this while, he still remembers us and the fact that he did not shun us away is quite a lot to take. Hehe! I’ll always love both of my stoopid brothers and both of my beautiful sisters. Got back around 12 and there were still so many ppl around!! Hehe!! How I wished they’d all stayed longer. But no sad, this will happen again, WOoHOo!!!
A week after Malin and Fahmy’s solemnization (or is it 2 weeks??), my customer from JKT, Wulan came to SIN. She was with her sister, Sumi. So on Friday, me and Maz headed to Town to meet them. We had dinner at Sakura at Far East. We talked about work and it turned out that Sumi knew my former colleagues in JKT, DPEX. Such a small world!! Dinner was full of laughter and jokes. Of cos, we did not forget to bitch about a few ppl that I dun like over at JKT. Haha!!!!After dinner we walk2 at Ordchard Ion. My virgin trip. It’s damn big la. Accompanied Wulan and her sister shopping. Then it was time to lepak at Starbucks. We had to wait for like 20 minutes before we are able to get a seat. So while lepaking, we exchange cultures amd stories. I so wanna go JKT this year. Hopefully end of this year….Me and Maz…Anybody else wanna join?? Let me know ok…..
After about almost 3 hours at Starbucks, we decided to cal it a night. Wulan and Sumi invited us over to their apartment, which is actually Lucky Plaza apartment. Very cool place. Normal la actually. But usually kan, ppl stay in hotel, this is an apartment, so lain sikit. Very cheap. I loike!!!!! So we chilled there for like an hour, then baru balek! Haha…Thought it was gonna be awkward between us, but it’s not. So glad that it wasn’t. Haha….
Okok…..One more story before ending…..I am going to HKG this Friday!! WOoHOo….My beloved (ahem!!) customer, have decided to gie us a treat after working for so long…Haha! So, the whole team will be there. Well, the whole team except for PeiWen and Indah, since they manage local. Poor you guys! Neh mind, I’ll get u guys something okies!!!
Oh yeah, one more, Ramadhan is back again. And, Alhamdulillah, everything is going well!!! I made it through the fourth day already. WOoHOo!!!
The first day, Mom cooked Nasi Lemak!! Syiokness!! Since Malin and Fahmy break fst at the other side and Mira can’t fast, only me and Mom was enjoying the Syiokness!! We finished almost everyhitng.. Hehe! No la…Mom cooked little, knowing that Malin and Fahmy won’t be here to break fast, so she cooked little.
2nd day was beef steak, eggs, wedges and rice. Double Syoikness!!! You can eat it with rice, or with bread. Or just like that….I ate with rice,then ate it just like that….Haha!!! This time Malin and Fahmy was there. But not Mira. No!! She did not go to her in –laws!! HAhahaahha!!! Oklame…she, Nur Amira, my babi, eh salah!! BABY sister, is now working!!! Hahahahahaha….Part time aje during Ramadhan la. Nak cari duit lebih, cari la….But remember eh Mira, your grades drop, you watch out!!! So people, go find her at TKC ok!!!
Yesterday, since it was the first day of working kan, scare Mom will be too tired to cook. So, I made reservation at Pastamania. I knew my Mom have wanted to try it ever since it went Halal. So I made reservation. Alhamdulillah, she love it. I had my usual, Creamy Chicken, Mira, her all time favourite, Beef Lasagna and mom Arabiata, this spicy tomato sauce with choice of Pasta. After that we jalan2 at Tmapines Mall and I bought Shoes. Oh yeah, Mira bough shoes too and leggings too!!! Betol nye cekik duit eh kau!!!
Then it was home. About an hour later, Malin and Fahmy came home, bringing home the photos and videos. I loike!! Especially the MTV and Behind th Scene….Funny la these 2 gundus…Hahahaha!!! Fahmy was so paisey, he stayed in the room the whole while…Hehe……
Then………………….I fell asleep after literally getting high on cigarettes!! Haha!! Ape tak, more than 12 hours of withdrawing toxic from my bdoy!!
